Virgin Galactic is the world’s first spaceline.

Giving you the groundbreaking opportunity to become one of the first ever non-professional astronauts. Virgin Galactic will own and operate its privately built spaceships, modelled on the remarkable, history-making SpaceShipOne.

Virgin Galactic will establish its headquarters and operate its space flights from Spaceport America, the world’s first purpose built commercial spaceport which is now under construction.

Spaceport America will provide cutting edge facilities and a wonderful location for fledgling astronauts to realise their dreams. Sir Richard Bronson who is hoping to start flight by 2013 is expected to be one of the frist passengers about the VSS Enterprice, which is name after the famous Start Trek. The Bussines will offer two and a half hour flith to space.

For the erm bargain price of £127.000, passenger can travel to space from the desert of New Mexico and experience five minute of weightlessness. The hefty price tag hasn’t stopped more than 450 hopeful space travellers signing up already. Virgin Galactic CEO and President George Whitesides said the company continues to make excellent and unequalled progress, under the motto ‘safety is our North Star.’ Whitesides remarked, “Flight testing by prime contractor Scaled Composites is progressing very well, with 30 SpaceShipTwo flights and 75 WhiteKnightTwo flights to date. We are also recruiting aggressively and assembling a highly talented and accomplished workforce focused on safe commercial operations led by Vice President of Operations Mike Moses, who will run our efforts at the spaceport.” We at Virgin Galactic believe that providing researchers and their experiments affordable, routine, and safe access to space is a core part of our mission.

The same novel and innovative features that make SpaceShipTwo the ideal vehicle to carry our private passengers into space also make it a versatile and attractive research platform that we know will allow scientists, engineers, educators, and others to collect data and study questions in a way they have never before been able to do.

Virgin Galactic has established itself as the lead operator of private sector manned spaceflight and as such is building a body of knowledge, expertise and assets, all of which will be invaluable as we assess the commercial opportunities that emerging technologies present. We therefore look forward to working closely with Stratolaunch as the project unfolds over the coming years. The new space Era, is already among us.
