Federico Bianchi – first Italian to win the award for “best young Diplomat of the year”

London (Irene Chiaia ,p.b.o) – Mr. Federico Bianchi Prime secretary, Press office director, media and cultural affairs for the Italian Embassy is the first Italian to win the award for “best young Diplomat of the year”. He has been voted by over 2000 attachés representing 150 countries.

The ceremony, which has hosted all the Ambassadors and 200 other guests, has been promoted by the magazine Tata DIPLOMAT. It took place in the ballroom of the Jumeirah Carlton Tower.

DIPLOMAT has consigned 10 awards to some of the most influent diplomats in the UK. One of them was precisely  Federico Bianchi.

During its 10th edition, the award ceremony has acknowledged the impressive work and the incredible achievements of the diplomatic communities in London, which are trying to improve the wellness of their countries.

DIPLOMAT Magazine has identified 10 categories which recognise the different levels of diplomacy. The winners have been nominated from their pears. The event has hosted all the ranks of the diplomatic body in London. The ceremony has become a focal appointment in the diplomatic calendar of the capital.

The BBC diplomatic correspondent James Landale has kindly hosted the event.

The attaché life has several privileges. However, people never contemplate the fact that diplomats have to currently restart their lives in different countries after each mandate. This continuous changes are intense also for the families of these employees of the State who have to constantly find a new balance.

These very significant people are, precisely the wives, husbands and children who always support the attachés. During the ceremony this concept has been often highlighted. As a matter of fact, the families of the guests should have been awarded too. Specifically, Anastasia Evriviades (the wife of the High Commissioner in Cyprus) has received an exceptional praise for her behaviour.

Federico Bianchi is a young promising diplomat among others working in London since September 2014. He has previously worked at the Italian Embassy in Pakistan and at the General Consulate of Shanghai in China.
