London -The crisis in Syria is getting more severe and alarming, hours after hours. News coming from Damascus tell us a terrible story of violence, which has been involving Syrian population since 2011: a civil conflict born in connection with the Arab Spring and based on opposition among Assad’s government and rebels who seek its crash.
The two opposite sides are supported by external political forces, whose decisions about their eventual direct implication in this conflict are going to be communicated, probably in next hours. An international conflict seems imminent, able to involve the most influential protagonists of world politic scene, from USA to Russia.
Media from all over the world count as highly probable a military action by USA and UK in support of rebels, against Assad’s government, which is supported instead by Russia and Iran.
Cameron’s declaration about Syria crisis is strong and decided: UK is considering a “proportionate response” to the 21th August attack. From The White House, from his part, Obama says to consider certain the use of chemical weapons by Syria’s government. So, the axis USA-UK seems to have taken its stand in favor of rebels and let feel its pressure on UN leading.
To exacerbate the Syria crisis, in last days, the suspect that Assad’s government had used chemical weapons during 21th August’s terrible attack, which caused the die of more than 1300 people in Damascus, where only some days later UN inspectors received the permission to go and visit the places of the attack, trying to understand the dynamics of the disaster.
So, USA and UK are waiting for UN work, while thousands of refugees are walking towards Iraq in search of peace and protection, but the situation is always changing and next hours are going to be crucial.
