WIMBLEDON DAY 1: BRITS BACK NADAL DESPITE 1ST DAY WIN FOR MURRAY

(London, 23rd June) Despite a breezy first match win for Murray this afternoon, Paddy Power reveals that Brits aren’t backing their own but instead favour Nadal to take home the title. Nadal opens up his challenge tomorrow against Klizan, with the Spaniard placed at 1/8 to win and 8/11 to win in straight sets.
As for Murray, he next takes to the court on Wednesday against Bola and is at 4/9 to win as we stand.
A Paddy Power spokesperson said “The punters have been all over Nadal the past few days, with more money going against the Spaniard than we’ve seen for Andy. For a big player who won the last Grand Slam, he’s a great bet at 9/2 to take the trophy.”;
The bookmaker is also offering a Money Back Special – if you place a bet on any of the big four and your player gets knocked out before the Quarter Final, Paddy Power will refund your losing outright bets as a free bet.
