The new frontier of communication is the extension of the wifi inside the Tube, now available in London inside 72 out of 250 tube stations.
This is an important innovation because a lot of people read newspapers only for few minutes before leaving them into the trains wasting a lot of paper.
Now thank to Virgin Media Wifi is possible to read articles and surf on the net comfortably in the Undergrounds with our own smartphones, tablets and computers with a speed that reaches 40.00 megabytes for second of download.
Actually this service is only available in the Tube stations but not in the galleries, even if Virgin Media wants to spread this service all around the London Underground including galleries, so people will be linked with the net world also during their daily journeys.
This is an important step forward because Internet is thought as a social right: free of charge and available to everyone. Accessing to this service it’s very easy: you have only to create an account on Virgin Media site, that appears automatically after choosing the VM wifi, then your login will be automatic every time you decide to connect with.
Then you will be able to receive all the information that the web can give you. Moreover other European countries are already provided by this services such as Portugal, Spain, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and Sweden. Nowadays the technology is part of our daily life making us slaves of technology . In this way we are losing the opportunity to think with own brain substituting it with a cold machine.
