Welcome Italia: Potorti, so far so good,

Welcome Italia: Potorti, so far so good, this is just the beginning we have great projects for the future:

“So far, so good”. Stefano Potorti, Managing Director of Sagitter One, the consultant  agency that have supported Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the organization of Welcome Italia shows satisfaction after the first two day of the exhibition. “Yesterday – explained Potorti – we had 700 visitors, a fantastic numbers considering it was Friday. Then Francesco Mazzei with his cookery shows was the icing on the cake. There were almost 60 journalists and different stakeholders from which we received a fantastic feedback”.

Today things go even better: “When miss two hours at the end of the show we estimate over 1800 visitors and count to go beyond 2000 visitors.  It seems to be in Italy and this is what we want.  We needed a change than ‘Dolce Vita’ which had become unproductive, far to Italy and anonymous.  With Welcome Italia we think to have succeded:  everyone is happy, everyone have fun, and the place is crowded”.

At the bottom of this success  there is a large organization behind: “I have to thank at the Sagitter one team and  the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Uk. Together we did a great job because we organized this event in only six months.  We worked hard, but now the results are excellent:  exhibitors are prepared, visitors  have appreciated our job  and chefs have joined our project”.

The great feedback imposes to represent Welcome Italia also the next year: “ We want to do this event also in 2014, probably in a bigger location. This was the first year of Welcome Italia, so we decide to did it smaller but more specialized than ‘La Dolce Vita’. The standard reached is good and now we have the competence to do something even better next year”.

Finally, Potorti talks about a project he is proud of: “We made the official launch of ‘Calabria Europa’, an association of Calabria’s sympathizers in Uk  whose I’m president.  We did a social drinking  with representatives of Calabria and producers”.
