It’s almost that time of the year.

I might be a little early but Christmas is definitely in the air all around London town.

Then it might be worth it to dive into the festive atmosphere and choose one of the many themed markets.

Let’s begin with the Scandinavian Christmas Market, 18-20 November Albion Street, Rotherhithe: free entry for this typical Nordic stalls where you will even find indoor fairs at both the Finnish and Norwegian Churches. Friday 12am-8pm, Saturday 10am-8pm and Sunday 10am-5pm.

Feel the Christmas also in Southbank with a programme filled with food, gifts, mulled wine, delicacies and wooden chalets until the 8th of January. Admission is free from 11am to 10pm and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

Even Vauxhall dresses up for its Winter Village.

You will feel like being transported to a typical mountain resort in the Alps with your favourite made in Britain food. Lambeth Place, from Monday to Friday, 11:30 am-10pm.

This Saturday the Oval Space Bethnal Green hosts its Christmas market dedicated to craftsmanship: from 10am ‘til 5pm you can shop among more than 60 stalls offering a fine selection of jewellery, fine art, ceramics and latest fashion accessories.

You can also test your artistic talent by taking part to some workshops where you can create colourful bespoke shirts, with your very own hands. You will wear for sure a 100% self-made unique piece.

If you have more polished tastes, you cannot miss the Christmas atmosphere in Duke of York Square, in the heart of Chelsea. The highlights of this elegant place are undoubtedly the magnificent lights, officially switched on a few days ago.

Bur remember that there is no Christmas spirit in a big city without a worthy skating rink. Therefore, here’s a few suggestions for your stroll on ice.

The Natural History Museum ice rink is one of the most fascinating in town. As much as those ones at the Somerset House, or in those historical places like Hampton Court Palace and the Tower of London.

And if you are not afraid of the chaos, do not miss Winter Wonderland, the Christmas theme amusement park par excellence
