LONDON The Linbury Studio Theatre from 6 December to 3 January is showing the innovative ballet The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. It is a revision of the classical ballet Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. A group from the Royal Ballet, called ZooNation, wants to bring hip hop off the streets to the dance theatre under the innovative choreography of Kate Prince.
The dancers are members of the Royal Ballet, the most important British ballet company. It was founded by Ninette de Valois in 1931: over the years, the company has produced dancers appreciated throughout the world. The Zoonation ballet has created such interest that almost all the tickets have been sold in just a few days.

The Linbury Studio Theatre is one of the recent additions to the Royal Opera House and it has brought a new, flexible and intimate performing space. It offers education projects, community events, contemporary dance programmes and a free recital series.
Many ballets and operas are represented at the Royal Opera House. It is one of the most famous theatres in the world and is situated in Covent Garden. If you prefer classical ballet, the Autumn -Winter season are also showing Don Quixote – directed by the famous dancer Carlos Acosta – also Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with the lovely Lauren Cuthbertson as Alice. If you can’t find a seat, you can always console yourself at the fabulous shop of the Royal Opera House. The Royal Opera House also organizes a Cinema Season, that will show the performance of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland on 16th December in selected cinemas around the world. The screening will also include backstage footage and interviews.
