London ONE Radio broadcasts Radio Radicale

London – London One Radio, the official Italian radio station in the UK is broadcasting everyday Radio Radicale’s news bulletin.

The Italian Government has recently passed a new law, known as ‘budget law” that cuts the funds to support broadcasting companies like Radio Radicale.

In this case Radio Radicale is in the situation of being forced to close down its station on  21st May.

Radio Radicale can be considered the Italian history’s archive, because it has been recording, collecting and documenting for 40 years relevant court trials, congresses of all Italian political parties, debates and CSM’s sessions

That is why London One Radio is mobilizing alongside those who are fasting in these days (Maurizio Bolognetti, historic militant of the Radical Party in Basilicata, for almost 50 days since last April 9th, Rita Bernardini, Maria Antonietta Farina Coscioni, Irene Testa, all three part of the Presidency of the Radical Party, and of Paola di Folco, militant of non-violent struggles).

Philip Baglini, Director of London One Radio, had already hosted an interview with Radio Radicale’s Director Alessio Falconio on March 21st. Given the approaching closure of the radio despite a great mobilization in Italy, with this gesture he also wants to help the Italian community in London to know what Italy is losing

5 reasons for Bellavita Expo 2017  test Italy – from 18th to 20th June in London

London – ( Rosita Pirulli ) Bellavita Expo is coming back in London this June, from 18th to 20th at Business Design Centre, near by Angel station and 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross St. Pancras railways.

Aimed at the celebration of Italian cookery diversity, Bellavita offers to English people the opportunity to taste, for the first time, the Italian authenticity showed by chefs and professionals with their autochthone products.

The food is one of the exhibition’s key points. Starting from 10.00 to 17.30 on Sunday, the variety of genuine flavours will help the English community to understand deeply the Italian culture. Big and small food businesses such as ‘Lavazza’, ‘Gala Fruit’, ‘Sarda Affumicati’, ‘Nonno Nanni’ and many others are going to display the basic and important products such as olive oil, coffee, cheese that make the difference on our plates. In fact, these ingredients are perfect, for example, to make a good pizza that ‘Starita Pizza Academy’ wants to demonstrate by giving a three days course for who is interested in, for a value of £1.195.

Suggestions and little cookery strategies will be given even by important chefs such as Francesco Mazzei, Felice Lo Basso (1 Michelin star), Giorgio Locatelli (1 Michelin star), Niko Romito (3 Michelin stars), Claudio Sadler (2 Michelin stars), Davide Degiovanni, o Theo Randall, who will bring part of their regions’ tastes, from the North to the South of Italy.

Also, this time there will be a surprise within the food section: ‘Foodscape’ by Jacopo Sarzi. Born in Sardinia, the food designer and artist Jacopo wants to show his creativity by making his plates real sculptures. His project, as he said, is a tribute to Italy, whose inhabitants keep producing an extraordinary food.

However food cannot be served without a drink. Beverages are going to be part of the exhibition, by revealing that creativity is not just on a plate, but also in a glass. Thus, Bellavita is happy to announce its ‘Bar Academy’, where professional mixologists and bartenders are going to use Italian drinks and products such as Fabbri, Birrificio Angelo Poretti, Villa Sandi, and Branca for their cocktails.

Furthermore, within this section, relevant UK sommelier, wine writers, wine merchants will also take place at the festival, by being the protagonists of ‘Villa Sandi Award’, organised by UKSA/AIS, through which a selection of the best wine experts of the year will be launched by Luca Martini, Head Sommelier at Osteria Da Giovanni. One of the competition’s tests is a wine tasting, useful to demonstrate their knowledge by identifying the background of the product. At the end, the jury will show the results and the winner.

BAR ACADEMY

Not just food and drinks, but important information about what we usually eat and buy are going to be discussed at Bellavita. Thus, YFOOD is one of its other relevant features: an information point where experts will discuss about innovation that is changing the restoration industry. Everyone can attend it and intervene about a discussion that belongs to our daily life.

As it could be seen, such initiative is trying to go beyond its principle aim mentioned before. Bellavita is, in fact, trying, once again, to integrate all communities that inhabit London, by being together with good food and professionalism that make the event unique.

This year the participation is addressed only to people within the restoration industry who have the biz card to show at the Bellavita entry.
